Nourish - A Weekend of Wellbeing in Nature at Mount Falcon
7th - 9th July | 28th - 31st July | 11th - 13th August
Let us bring you on a journey of wellness on one of Ireland’s most beautiful Country Estates.
Reconnecting you with nature and nourishing your mind, body and soul.
Our theme this year is Grá (*Grá is love in irish)
Grá for nature’s beauty all around us and Grá for your own wellbeing, combined with a Grá for good food and great music. Our Nourish weekend at Mount Falcon is designed to be relaxing and rejuvenating whilst also enjoying the harmonious luxury of the Estate and Spa.
It is the perfect couple escape or indeed for friends who want to getaway and try something different.
Connecting with Nature is at the heart of our Nourish Wellness Weekend which is why we are combining a beautiful Woodland Sound Bath experience with a bespoke Forest Bathing Experience.
Emma West is a is a sound healing practitioner and reiki master who is passionate about using sound and vibration to help you relax your mind and body.
By using the sacred sound vibrations of Tibetan and crystal bowls, the gongs, drum and more she will guide you into a peaceful state, allowing you to surrender to the sounds and let go of any thoughts or emotions that are not serving you, soothing your nervous system and helping to bring your mind and body back to its natural state of harmony.
We first met Emma two years ago and she is truly an inspiring and grounded person. I think Niall Ó Murchú from ‘Breathe with Niall’ describes her Ceremonies perfectly, “Emma’s sound baths are phenomenal.
Her passion and expertise shines through every moment of the experience.
Emma takes us on a subtle, profound and healing journey with her voice and musicianship. It is an experience to be savoured.”
We will be continuing our journey of wellbeing under the canopy of our ancient trees on the estate with Sarah Hourigan from Nature Therapy Ireland.
If you've ever moved slowly through a forest, listened to the wind in the trees or felt the warmth of the sunshine on your face, you've already practiced forest bathing in your own way.
If you are looking to deepen this experience that is where Sarah Hourigan of Nature Therapy Ireland comes in. Sarah will guide you on a gentle walk using a series of invitations that will awaken your senses to focus on the natural environment around you. A forest bathing walk aims to help you develop an enhanced sense of appreciation for nature and to re-balance your body and mind.
Originating in Japan as 'shinrin yoku' in the 80s, forest bathing is an accepted part of Japanese preventative health care. Since then, it has been practiced worldwide and researchers continue to investigate its many positive outcomes. They conclude that the real and long-term benefits include, among other things, improved sleep, reduced stress, increased immunity, lower blood pressure and accelerated recovery from illness or trauma.
We hope you will leave this walk ready to embrace this season with a renewed sense of community, a strong understanding of how you personally connect with nature and with valuable tools to use as you slowly move through summer.
"Forest bathing with Nature Therapy Ireland has become part of my monthly self care practices. Each time I return it really resets me, leaving me in a positive, motivated and more self compassionate mood for the week ahead. Exploring my connection to nature with Sarah has shown me how to slow down and feel grounded during the more challenging moments of life. I have brought many of the practices with me into my daily life but there is definitely something much more special and deep about being guided with a group. I recommend you give it a try!
